Host terms & conditions
TripArro · Host terms & conditions · effective 1 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who lists a homestay, villa, apartment, cottage or resort on TripArro ("host", "you"). TripArro ("we", "us") runs the website, the app and the booking and payment system. By listing a property or accepting a booking you agree to these terms, the cancellation policy and the privacy policy.
1. Your listing
- Everything on your listing — photos, rooms, amenities, location, house rules, prices and the number of guests — must be true and up to date. Photos must be of the actual property.
- You confirm you own the property or have the owner's written permission to rent it out, and that you hold the registrations and licences your state and local authority require for short stays.
- TripArro may visit or video-call to verify a property. Verified listings show a badge; we may remove the badge or pause a listing if what guests find differs from the listing.
- Keep your calendar correct. If you also list on other sites, connect them under OTA channels so a night booked elsewhere is closed here. Bookings longer than 90 nights are not accepted from OTA calendars.
2. Bookings and approval
- Each listing is either Instant booking (confirmed as soon as the guest pays) or Approval needed (you choose this per listing under Booking & payment).
- With approval needed, the guest sends a request with a photo of their government ID. You have 24 hours to approve or decline under Booking requests; the dates are held meanwhile. If you don't answer, the request expires and the dates are released. After you approve, the guest has 24 hours to pay — the booking is confirmed only when the payment succeeds.
- Decline only for a genuine reason (the property is unavailable, the guest's details don't meet your house rules). Don't decline or treat guests differently because of religion, caste, community, gender, nationality, disability or marital status.
- Do not ask guests who found you on TripArro to cancel and pay you directly instead. Bookings and payments for those guests go through TripArro.
3. Cancellations
- Hosts cannot cancel a confirmed booking. If you cannot host a guest (damage, emergency, a double booking), call TripArro support at +91 9345190690 straight away. Only the TripArro team cancels bookings, and we try to move the guest to a similar stay first.
- If a booking has to be cancelled because of you, the guest gets a full refund and you receive nothing for it. Repeated host-side cancellations can lead to the listing being paused.
- When a guest cancels, the refund follows the cancellation policy shown on every listing:
The part that is not refunded is shared like a normal booking (your share, less commission).Guest cancels Guest refund 1 day or more before check-in 100% On the check-in day, or after 0%
4. Payment terms
- Who collects: guests pay TripArro online through our payment partner PayU (UPI, cards, net banking). TripArro holds the money and pays you your share.
- Payment modes: each listing accepts the full amount online, or — if you allow it — an advance (a % or a fixed amount) with the rest paid later. You set this under Booking & payment; advances apply only to bookings of at least ₹3,000 (or your higher minimum) and, if you set it, only when check-in is far enough away.
- Guest service fee: 3% of the stay amount (after any discount), paid by the guest on top of your price and kept by TripArro.
- Booking commission: 8% of the stay amount (after any discount), deducted from your share.
- Booking partners: when one of TripArro's booking partners books a guest into a listing you have opened to partners, the partner's commission is deducted from your share. Each booking shows it line by line.
- Bookings you make yourself (New booking in your dashboard) carry no booking commission; a service fee of 3% applies.
- When you are paid: your share of a booking is settled after the guest checks out. Each settlement comes with a settlement invoice listing every booking, fee and deduction (Finance in your dashboard). Make sure your bank or UPI details in My account are correct.
- Money guests pay you directly (cash, UPI at the property, the balance of an advance): you hold TripArro's share (service fee, commission) and must pay it from Finance → Pay now. What you owe for stays that checked out in a month is due by the last day of that month. On the 1st of the next month you are emailed one invoice listing everything still unpaid; paid online it is marked paid straight away, paid to TripArro directly it is marked paid once we record it. If it is still unpaid after that, a warning appears, and your listings are hidden from the website 10 days later, until it is paid.
- Refunds: when a booking is refunded under the cancellation policy, the refunded part is not paid to you.
- Account and plans: your TripArro account is free — there is no subscription due date and it does not expire. Optional plans (under Account → Subscription in your dashboard) add bigger limits and the TripArro AI tools for their period (daily, monthly or yearly). Plan fees are paid in advance, include GST where it applies and are not refundable for a period already started. If a plan is not renewed, your account carries on as a free account and your listings keep taking bookings.
- Your taxes: you are responsible for income tax and for any GST registration your own earnings need. TripArro issues invoices for its fees and commission so you can claim them.
5. Prices, discounts and coupon codes
- You set your nightly price, extra-guest and child charges, and food prices. The price a guest sees includes every charge — never ask for more at check-in than the booking shows (except optional extras the guest orders there).
- TripArro currently applies a default discount of 15% to listings without an offer of their own. You can replace it with your own offer, or stop it, on each listing at any time.
- You can create your own coupon codes and offers. An offer must be a real reduction from the price you normally charge.
6. Guests, safety and ID proof
- Keep the property clean, safe and as described: working locks, smoke-free sleeping areas, first-aid kit, and emergency numbers on display.
- Guest ID photos are for verifying the guest and meeting local registration rules only. Don't copy, share or keep them anywhere else. TripArro deletes them automatically 180 days after check-out (7 days after a cancellation).
- Use guests' contact details only for their stay — not for marketing.
7. Reviews
Only guests who stayed can review. Don't offer rewards for good reviews or pressure guests to change a review. TripArro removes reviews only if they break the law or our content rules.
8. Pausing and closing
- You can pause or remove a listing at any time; confirmed bookings must still be honoured.
- TripArro may pause a listing or close a host account for inaccurate listings, safety problems, taking guests off-platform, unpaid dues, repeated cancellations or breaking these terms. We tell you why and give you a chance to respond, except in urgent safety cases.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when fees change. We announce changes in your dashboard at least 14 days before they apply; you'll be asked to accept the new version. Bookings already confirmed keep the fees that applied when they were made.
